Troop aid Charity in Birmingham

Maybe you’ve seen it already, but we’re very excited to announce – We are now fundraising for Troop Aid charity too!

For those who’ve already spotted the new charity icon on our main website, yes, you can now donate towards Troop Aid charity!

Troop Aid was founded in November 2006 by three ex-servicemen as a result of a visit to Selly Oak Hospital’s Alexandra Wing in Birmingham.  This was the home of the Defence Medical Welfare Services who are responsible for the welfare of all Armed Forces Personnel, male and female who were injured during the conflict in Afghanistan and elsewhere.

Troop Aid – A small charity with a worldwide reach. Troops who are injured while fighting for their country should be cared for. Troop Aid supports those injured servicemen and women by giving them the very best medical care at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. When service personnel are injured either on a training exercise or in combat they return to the United Kingdom without their personal effects or clothing. Troop Aid supplies them with the ‘basic essentials’ in a Grab Bag.

iCollect Clothes will be fundraising for Troop Aid charity to help them raise as much funds to support our troops. For every tonne of clothing collected, Troop Aid will receive £200.

Therefore, it’s very important for them to receive your help! Any donation small or large is greatly appreciated. Let’s raise funds for Troop Aid Charity Together!
